About the Craft

Every inch of this stole carries the legacy of generations of Kashmiri craftsmanship. The solid colour is created through traditional small-batch hand dyeing, a meticulous process that ensures depth, vibrancy, and texture while preserving the fabric’s natural sheen and softness. Each stole undergoes several rinses and hours of careful drying, reflecting patience and precision at every stage.
The journey begins in Ladakh, where the fine down fibre of the Changthangi goat is gathered, cleaned, and hand spun by women artisans. It can take up to two months to produce enough yarn for one stole. Skilled weavers then use wooden handlooms to create the signature lightweight weave before the piece is handed over to specialists for dyeing or finishing. Each creation is a labour of love that celebrates sustainability and heritage.

Pashmina Care

Always dry clean your pure Pashmina for the best results. If hand washing, use cold water and a mild Pashmina or Cashmere shampoo. Do not wring or twist; gently press out excess water. Lay it flat between two towels, roll to absorb moisture, and air dry away from sunlight.
Store your Pashmina in a clean, dry place wrapped in muslin cloth with neem or cedar wood. Handle it with care and it will remain soft, elegant, and beautiful for years to come.
