Product Description

Contemporary yet timeless, this handwoven Pashmina stole pairs earthy beige and ivory stripes in a refined, elegant palette. Each Sozni booti motif is delicately hand-embroidered in a slightly brighter shade, adding subtle luxury through fine artisanal detailing.
The stole is featherlight, versatile and beautifully fluid, draping effortlessly with both ethnic wear and modern silhouettes. Its understated charm makes it a wardrobe classic that never goes out of style.

What is Sozni Embroidery?

Sozni embroidery is a traditional Kashmiri needlework technique known for its intricate floral, abstract and geometric motifs. Crafted entirely by hand using thin needles and fine threads, it is one of the most detailed art forms of the valley.
The process begins with stamping the design onto the base, followed by slow, meticulous stitching.
Because of its precision and fineness, it may take months or even years to complete. A skilled artisan may require four months to finish just an inch-wide border.
Together, the crafts of Pashmina weaving and Sozni embroidery create heirloom textiles adored across the world.

How Pashmina is Made?

True Pashmina undergoes an intensive handcrafted journey. The fibre is collected in Ladakh from the down of the Changthangi goat, then cleaned and sorted with care.
Women artisans hand-spin the delicate fibre, a process that can take over two months for a single stole, with only a small amount spun each day after many hours of work.
Men then weave the yarn on wooden handlooms to create soft, airy Pashmina stoles. Once woven, pieces are passed on to specialists for embroidery, dyeing or further embellishment.
Each stole is the result of immense dedication and generations of inherited skill.

Pashmina Care

Dry cleaning is the safest method for maintaining your Pashmina. If hand washing, use cold water and a mild Pashmina/Cashmere shampoo. Gently press out water without twisting.
Dry by rolling the stole between two clean towels. Air dry flat, away from sunlight.
Store in a cool, dry place. Wrap in muslin and keep neem or cedar for protection. With proper care, a pure Pashmina becomes an heirloom that lasts for generations.

Before You Receive Your Pashmina

Authentic Pashmina is woven and embroidered entirely by hand. Slight irregularities in weave or embroidery are natural signs of craftsmanship, not defects. These nuances make your piece truly unique.
Minor colour differences may appear due to screen settings. While we aim for accurate representation, actual shades may vary slightly.
