Awash in the gentle transition of sunlit yellow into fresh, verdant green, here is an exquisite yellow ombre dyed Pashmina shawl that looks like poetry itself. The warmth of sunlit yellow gracefully melts into the vibrancy of green, evoking the feeling of Spring days as pleasant warm early morning kisses fresh foliage. The lightweight demeanour of the shawl creates a fluid movement that makes the wearer feels alive, elegant and unparallely beautiful. The shawl has been handcrafted from Ladakhi Pashmina, whose softness embraces the wearer in unmatched comfort, while the subtle ombre shade adds a whisper of opulence and exclusivity to the way they accessorise for formal, festive or casual events

About the Craft
Ombre Dyeing is a delicate artistic process where a pure Pashmina is hand dyed in a gradient of multiple colours. A breathtaking transition between two shades is achieved in this shawl with the help of careful immersion and hand-dipping techniques. This way, one color gently fades into the other, giving the Ombre look. To ensure seamless merging free of harsh lines, each step must be done precisely.
In contrast to machine dyeing, the ombré effect on Pashmina is produced manually by skillful artisans who use their eyes and hands to regulate the saturation, depth, and balance of shades. Pashmina's inherent softness allows the dyes to be elegantly absorbed, creating an opulent piece that is equal parts fashion and art.
Every ombré shawl is unique, a hallmark of the artisan’s artistic mind, making it a truly one-of-a-kind statement of style.
The art of Pashmina Shawl making involves a series of meticulous steps. It all starts in Ladakh where the down fibre of the changthangi goat is collected, cleaned, and sorted. The fibre is then hand spun by womenfolk of the valley - which is the most painstaking labour of love. To spin fibre for one Pashmina shawl, a single artisan takes atleast 2 months, with just a handful of fibre spun per day. Even this takes them 8-10 hours everyday. Spinning is followed by weaving, where men mount the delicate spun fibre onto wooden handlooms and create heavenly soft and lightweight Pashmina shawls. These are later handed over to specialists for further embellishing like dyeing, embroidery, or prints

Pashmina Care
Always dry clean your pure Pashmina for the safest care. But if hand washing, use cold water and Pashmina/Cashmere shampoo. Do not wring or twist. Always squeeze the water out gently. Dry your Pashmina by placing it between two clean towels and rolling them together. Air dry, do not hang. Do not place it under direct sunlight for drying.
Store your Pashmina at a clean, dry place. To keep it safe from moths, fold it neatly, wrap it in a muslin cloth, and store it with neem or cedar. Pashmina will last for generations if handled with care.

Before you receive your Pashmina, Please Note:
Authentic Pashmina is woven and embroidered by artisans manually. There can be irregularities in weave or embroidery showing the meticulous manual work of artisans. Note that these are not flaws but marks of authenticity that make your piece truly one of a kind
Slight variations in colour may appear due to different screen resolutions. While we strive to present images as true to life as possible, the actual shade may look slightly different on your device. We appreciate your understanding.
