About the Craft

Chashme Bulbul, meaning “the eye of the nightingale,” is one of Kashmir’s most cherished weaving styles. The pattern is distinguished by tiny diamond motifs created through a complex broken point twill weave. Each pattern emerges through a rhythmic sequence of hand movements on the loom, requiring precision and patience from the artisan.

Pashmina Care

Always dry clean your pure Pashmina for the safest care. If hand washing, use cold water and a mild Pashmina or Cashmere shampoo. Do not wring or twist; gently press to remove excess water. Lay flat between two towels, roll to absorb moisture, and air dry away from sunlight.
Store your Pashmina in a clean, dry place wrapped in a muslin cloth with neem or cedar wood. When cared for properly, it will remain soft and exquisite for generations.
