Product Description

Handspun and handwoven by skilled artisans, this ombre Pashmina stole blends vibrant pink, orange and red in a smooth, contemporary gradient. The colours flow seamlessly into one another, creating a warm, expressive palette that is both modern and rooted in heritage.
Its lightweight softness, breathability and fluid drape make it ideal for pairing with formal outfits or elevating everyday wear.
The slow, meticulous process of hand-spinning and hand-weaving preserves the authenticity and soul of true Pashmina craftsmanship, while the precise ombre dyeing adds a refined artistic touch.

What is Ombre Dyeing?

Ombre dyeing is a delicate hand-dyeing technique where colours transition gradually from one shade to another. Achieved through controlled immersion and hand-dipping, each layer is applied with intention to avoid harsh lines and retain the soft gradient flow.
Unlike machine dyeing, ombre work on Pashmina is entirely manual. Artisans rely on their trained eyes and steady hands to regulate saturation, depth and balance across the fabric.
The natural softness of Pashmina absorbs the dyes beautifully, giving the final piece a glowing, painterly finish.
Every ombre stole is slightly unique a reflection of the artisan’s creativity making it a wearable piece of art.
Before dyeing, the fibre undergoes a long handcrafted journey: collection in Ladakh, hand-spinning by women artisans over months, and gentle weaving on wooden looms. Only after this labour of love is the stole dyed and finished.

Pashmina Care

For best care, dry clean your Pashmina. If hand washing, use cold water and a mild Pashmina/Cashmere shampoo. Press the water out gently without twisting.
Dry by rolling the stole between two clean towels, then lay flat to air dry away from sunlight.
Store in a clean, dry space. Wrap in muslin and place neem or cedar for natural protection. With proper care, a pure Pashmina becomes an heirloom.

Before You Receive Your Pashmina

Authentic Pashmina is woven, dyed and finished entirely by hand. Slight irregularities in weave, gradient or texture are natural signs of artisanal craftsmanship and make each piece truly one of a kind.
Minor colour variations may appear due to different screen settings. While we strive for accurate representation, the actual shade may vary slightly on your device.

G.I. Certified Handspun Pashmina: Why It Is More Expensive than Regular Pure Pashmina

Pashmina has for long been cherished and celebrated as the pinnacle of luxury. It is a fabric, so fine, warm and timeless that even the highest of royalty adorned it for centuries. But among all the forms nature blesses our wardrobes with, Handspun Pashmina stands apart as the purest, most authentic. Before modern machinery took over, the threads were spun exclusively with bare hands, slowly, delicately, with a deep emotional connection between the artisans and the fibre. Today, just a small percentage of artisans follow this ancient method, making handspun pieces incredibly rare and precious. Yet there are a few dealers of handspun shawls, like Pashmsutra, which sells 100% pure, hand spun shawls online......
