Description
Radiating sophistication in a deep teal tone, this Pashmina stole is a modern classic enriched with heritage. The plain teal body creates a refined canvas that highlights the handwoven Kani palla, where vibrant florals and Kashmiri motifs come alive. This striking contrast celebrates the charm of slow craftsmanship while offering versatility for both festive occasions and daily wear. Elegant, warm, and featherlight, this stole beautifully merges tradition with contemporary style, making it a timeless wardrobe essential.

About the Craft
Kani weaving is a centuries-old tapestry-style technique from Kashmir, celebrated worldwide for its artistry. The name comes from the small, eyeless wooden sticks called “kanis” that replace the regular shuttle in weaving. Each kani carries a different coloured thread, and the weaver uses them to interlace coloured wefts with remarkable precision, forming florals, paisleys, and Mughal-inspired motifs.

Weavers follow a coded design script called talim, much like musical notation, to guide the placement of threads. The process demands immense patience, skill, and concentration. Depending on the intricacy, a single Kani Pashmina stole can take months to complete, embodying the essence of conscious, sustainable fashion.

Pashmina Care
Always dry clean your pure Pashmina for the safest care. If hand washing, use cold water and Pashmina/Cashmere shampoo. Do not wring or twist; gently press out the water. Lay between two towels, roll to remove excess moisture, and air dry flat, away from sunlight.

Store your Pashmina in a clean, dry place. Fold neatly, wrap in a muslin cloth, and keep with neem or cedar to protect from moths. With proper care, your Pashmina will remain a cherished heirloom for generations.

Before you receive your Pashmina, Please Note
Authentic Pashmina is woven and embroidered manually by artisans. Minor irregularities in weave or motifs are natural signs of handcrafted work, not flaws. These details make your piece truly unique.

Slight variations in colour may occur due to screen resolutions. While we strive for accuracy, the actual shade may appear slightly different on your device.
