Product Description

With its soft ivory base and subtle beige stripes, this stole radiates timeless grace and quiet sophistication. The highlight lies in its handwoven Kani palla, featuring intricate floral motifs in rich hues that contrast beautifully with the minimal striped body. The delicate interplay of colour and texture makes this piece both elegant and versatile, suitable for weddings, celebrations, or formal gatherings.
Balancing traditional artistry with contemporary charm, this stole brings together the beauty of heritage weaving and the practicality of modern design, making it a keepsake that transcends trends and seasons.

About the Craft

Kani weaving is one of Kashmir’s most revered and intricate handweaving techniques, known for its unmatched detailing and heritage. The name “Kani” comes from the small eyeless wooden sticks called kanis, used instead of a regular shuttle. Each kani holds a different colour thread, which the weaver interlaces with remarkable precision to create elaborate motifs of flowers, paisleys, and Mughal-inspired gardens.
The process follows a coded design script known as talim, a traditional notation that guides every line and colour combination. It requires tremendous patience, mathematical precision, and artistic intuition. Depending on complexity, a single Kani shawl or stole can take several months to a year to complete.

Pashmina Care

Always dry clean your pure Pashmina for the safest care. If hand washing, use cold water and a mild Pashmina or Cashmere shampoo. Do not wring or twist; gently press to remove water. Lay it flat between two towels, roll to absorb moisture, and air dry away from sunlight.
Store your Pashmina in a clean, dry place wrapped in a muslin cloth with neem or cedar wood. With proper care, it will remain soft, elegant, and beautiful for generations.

Before You Receive Your Pashmina

Each Pashmsutra piece is made entirely by hand. Slight irregularities in weave or tone are natural characteristics of handcrafted Pashmina and reflect the authenticity of the artisan’s touch.
Minor variations in colour may occur due to screen settings. While every effort is made to show shades accurately, the actual tone may vary slightly in person.
