Product Description

Inspired by the calming hues of nature, this green ombre Pashmina stole blends soft pastels with deeper green tones, creating a soothing gradient reminiscent of sunlit leaves. Handspun and handwoven, each thread carries the pure, unfiltered spirit of true Pashmina.
Women artisans in Kashmir spend months drawing just a handful of fibre each day, spinning with remarkable precision and patience. Their skilled hands breathe life into every strand, resulting in a stole that embodies dedication, heritage and resilience.
Warm yet lightweight, it is perfect for winters as well as transitional seasons. With its gentle drape and sustainable origins, this stole becomes a meaningful accessory crafted with care and passed down through generations of artistry.

What is Ombre Dyeing?

Ombre dyeing is a refined hand-dyeing technique where colours melt gradually from one shade to another. Using careful immersion and hand-dipping, artisans ensure the gradient flows smoothly without any harsh transitions.
Unlike mechanical dyeing, ombre work on Pashmina is entirely manual. Artisans use their experience, steady hands and a keen sense of colour to regulate saturation and balance.
The natural softness of Pashmina absorbs dyes beautifully, resulting in a luxurious gradient that is as artistic as it is elegant.
Each ombre stole is slightly unique, shaped by the artisan’s vision and personal touch.
Before dyeing, the fibre undergoes a long handcrafted journey: collected in Ladakh, hand-spun by women over months, and woven on traditional wooden looms. Only then is it transformed into an ombre masterpiece.

Pashmina Care

Dry clean your Pashmina for the best preservation. If hand washing, use cold water and a gentle Pashmina/Cashmere shampoo. Press water out gently without twisting.
Dry by rolling it between two clean towels, then air dry flat away from sunlight.
Store in a cool, dry place. Wrap in muslin and keep with neem or cedar for natural protection. With proper care, a pure Pashmina lasts for generations.

Before You Receive Your Pashmina

Authentic Pashmina is woven, hand-spun and dyed by artisans, so slight irregularities in weave or texture are natural signs of craftsmanship, not defects. These variations make each piece unique.
Minor colour differences may appear due to screen variations. While we aim to present the closest match, actual shades may vary slightly on your device.

G.I. Certified Handspun Pashmina: Why It Is More Expensive than Regular Pure Pashmina

Pashmina has for long been cherished and celebrated as the pinnacle of luxury. It is a fabric, so fine, warm and timeless that even the highest of royalty adorned it for centuries. But among all the forms nature blesses our wardrobes with, Handspun Pashmina stands apart as the purest, most authentic. Before modern machinery took over, the threads were spun exclusively with bare hands, slowly, delicately, with a deep emotional connection between the artisans and the fibre. Today, just a small percentage of artisans follow this ancient method, making handspun pieces incredibly rare and precious. Yet there are a few dealers of handspun shawls, like Pashmsutra, which sells 100% pure, hand spun shawls online......
