Product Description

This green and black Ikkat Pashmina stole carries a quiet elegance that instantly makes a statement. The interplay of deep black and calm green creates a rhythmic geometric pattern, formed through the signature soft blurring of ikkat dyeing.
Every inch of the stole holds artisanal character, with its unique, gently diffused motifs adding depth and charm.
Handcrafted from pure Ladakhi Pashmina, the stole is exceptionally warm yet featherlight, gliding over the skin with unmatched softness. Airy, effortless and versatile, it drapes beautifully for all-day comfort and style.

What is Ikkat Dyeing?

Ikkat is one of the world’s oldest and most intricate dyeing techniques, celebrated for its softly blurred, mesmerising patterns. Unlike regular weaving, ikkat involves resist-dyeing the yarn before it is woven.
Each thread is individually tied, dyed in calculated sections, and then carefully aligned on the loom to form patterns. Even the slightest shift in alignment can alter the design, making the process one of precision, vision and patience.
The natural variations created by this method are considered part of its beauty, giving every ikkat piece a unique soul.
Before dyeing, the Pashmina itself undergoes a long, painstaking journey: fibre collection in Ladakh, hand-spinning by women artisans over weeks, and handweaving on wooden looms. Only then does the stole reach the stage of ikkat dyeing and finishing.

Pashmina Care

Dry clean your Pashmina for the best preservation. If hand washing, use cold water and a gentle Pashmina/Cashmere shampoo. Press out water gently without twisting.
Dry by rolling the stole between two clean towels. Air dry flat, away from sunlight.
Store in a cool, dry place. Wrap in muslin and keep with neem or cedar for natural protection. With proper care, a pure Pashmina lasts for generations.

Before You Receive Your Pashmina

Since authentic Pashmina is woven and finished entirely by hand, slight irregularities in weave or pattern are natural signs of artistry, not flaws. Each piece is unique and one of a kind.
Minor colour differences may appear due to screen variations. While we aim to represent shades accurately, the actual colour may vary slightly on your device.
