Product Description
Blending nature’s calmest hues, this blue and green ombré Pashmina stole is a vision of balance and grace. Handwoven from the purest Ladakhi Pashmina fibres, its smooth gradient mirrors the gentle union of water and earth. Each transition of colour is the result of a skilled artisan’s precision and patience, achieved entirely by hand.
Soft, feathery, and warm, the stole adds an elegant charm to both everyday and formal outfits. Finished with delicate fringed edges for a rustic touch, it carries a sense of timeless artistry and understated luxury that defines true Kashmiri craftsmanship.
About the Craft
Ombre dyeing on Pashmina is a slow, detailed process that demands mastery and focus. The gradient effect is achieved by immersing the stole in dyes with steady, hand-controlled movement, allowing one shade to dissolve naturally into another. This seamless blending of colours gives the stole its soft, organic finish.
Unlike machine dyeing, this art depends entirely on the artisan’s intuition and experience to maintain depth and balance in tone. The natural texture of Pashmina absorbs colour beautifully, producing a rich yet subtle look that makes each piece truly unique.
The journey begins in Ladakh, where the fine down fibre of the Changthangi goat is carefully gathered, cleaned, and hand spun by women artisans. It can take up to two months to spin enough fibre for one stole. Once woven by hand on traditional wooden looms, the stole is dyed, dried, and finished by specialists who bring out its natural sheen and luxurious feel. Every piece embodies generations of skill and devotion to sustainable, mindful craftsmanship.
Pashmina Care
Always dry clean your pure Pashmina for the best results. If hand washing, use cold water and a mild Pashmina or Cashmere shampoo. Do not wring or twist; instead, press gently to remove water. Lay it flat between two towels, roll to absorb moisture, and air dry away from sunlight.
Store your Pashmina in a clean, dry place wrapped in muslin cloth with neem or cedar wood. With gentle handling, it will remain soft, lustrous, and beautiful for generations.
Before You Receive Your Pashmina
Every Pashmsutra stole is handcrafted by skilled artisans, making each one slightly distinct in weave and dye. These subtle variations are not imperfections but signs of authenticity and artistry.
Minor differences in colour may occur due to screen settings. While every effort is made to present the shade accurately, the actual tone may vary slightly in person.
