About the Craft

Every pure Pashmina stole begins its journey in Ladakh, where the down fibre of the Changthangi goat is carefully collected, cleaned, and sorted. Women artisans of Kashmir then hand spin the fibre a slow, intricate process that can take nearly two months to complete for a single piece. Once spun, the delicate yarn is handwoven by skilled craftsmen, who work patiently to create an exceptionally soft and lightweight fabric.
To achieve its deep black tone, the stole is dyed in small batches using traditional methods that preserve the fabric’s natural sheen and softness. Unlike machine dyeing, the hand-dyeing process requires precision, multiple rinses, and gentle drying, ensuring the finished piece remains luxurious and enduring.

Pashmina Care

Always dry clean your pure Pashmina for the safest care. If hand washing, use cold water and mild Pashmina or Cashmere shampoo. Do not wring or twist; gently press to remove water. Lay flat between two towels, roll to absorb moisture, and air dry away from sunlight.
Store your Pashmina in a clean, dry place wrapped in a muslin cloth with neem or cedar wood. When handled with care, it will retain its softness, elegance, and warmth for generations.
