Product Description
Radiating warmth like a soft morning sun, this sunshine yellow Eri silk stole embodies the comfort and serenity of nature. Adorned with delicate blue imprints created through the ancient bundle dyeing process, each motif resembles scattered eucalyptus blossoms kissed by light. The design feels refined yet organic, giving the piece a naturally sophisticated charm.
Woven from pure Eri silk, this stole feels featherlight on the skin and is perfect for those with sensitive skin. Its gentle drape and smooth texture make it easy to pair with formal wear, dresses, or even business attire. Whether worn loosely over the shoulders or neatly folded around the neck, it adds a graceful, nature-inspired touch to any look.
What is Eri Silk?
Also known as Ahimsa or Peace Silk, Eri Silk is one of India’s most ethical and skin-friendly fabrics. Unlike traditional silk, it is spun from open-ended cocoons after the moth naturally emerges, making it cruelty free and vegan. Lightweight, breathable, and soothing to the touch, Eri Silk helps regulate body temperature and is ideal for sensitive or allergy-prone skin.
At Pashmsutra, each Eri Silk stole is handwoven on traditional looms, using only natural and chemical-free dyes. Every piece reflects a balance of sustainability, authenticity, and timeless craftsmanship.
Process of Bundle Dyeing
Bundle dyeing begins with the careful gathering of seasonal flowers and leaves, often sourced from temple offerings or naturally fallen flora. These are thoughtfully arranged on handwoven Eri silk before the fabric is tightly rolled into bundles and steamed. The natural pigments gently seep into the fibers, leaving behind intricate, one-of-a-kind patterns.
No two stoles are ever identical the placement, tones, and shapes depend entirely on nature’s rhythm. Each piece becomes a living artwork, carrying the spirit of the earth, sunlight, and flowers that inspired it.
Eri Silk Care
Your Eri silk stole is a delicate creation and should be handled with care. For the first few washes, opt for dry cleaning to preserve its natural dyes. If washing at home, use cold water and a mild detergent. Do not wring or twist. Press gently to remove excess water and dry in shade. Iron on a low to medium setting and store in a breathable muslin or cotton bag.
Before You Receive Your Silk Stole
Each Eri silk stole is handcrafted on a handloom, making slight irregularities and tone variations a natural mark of its authenticity. These are not flaws but reflections of its handmade origin and natural dye process.
Minor color variations may occur due to screen differences. While we aim for accuracy, the actual shade may appear slightly different in person.
