Product Description
An ode to autumn’s calming and serene melancholy, this Eri Silk stole features intricate leaf motifs gently pressed by nature itself. In shades of russet, charcoal, and muted gold, the design mirrors the delicate veins and silhouettes of fallen autumn leaves, symbolizing change, renewal, and the beauty of impermanence. Each motif captures the stillness of nature, turning the stole into a canvas of seasonal nostalgia.
Handcrafted on a traditional handloom with precision, the stole connects you to the earth, where every motif tells a story of natural transition. Draped effortlessly, it is a wearable piece of art, perfect for the shifting seasons.

What is Eri Silk?
Often called Ahimsa Silk (Ahimsa means non-violent) or Peace Silk, Eri Silk is India’s most ethical and skin friendly silk. Unlike traditional silk, it is spun from open-ended cocoons after the moth has naturally emerged, making it cruelty free and ideal for vegans.
The texture is light and breathable and feels gentle and nurturing on the skin. Known for its skin healing and medicinal properties, Eri Silk helps regulate temperature, absorbs moisture, and is often recommended for those with skin allergies or sensitive skin.
At Pashmsutra, we use only pure handloom Eri Silk, ensuring every piece is authentic, sustainable, cruelty free, and crafted without artificial or chemical dyes.

Process of Bundle Dyeing
The process of bundle dyeing begins with gathering seasonal flowers and leaves, respectfully sourced from temples after daily offerings. These are placed carefully on handwoven Eri Silk scarves and stoles, rolled into tight bundles, and then steamed so the natural pigments seep into the fabric.
No two pieces are ever identical. The colors, shapes, and imprints depend entirely on nature’s rhythm. Each stole becomes a living canvas painted by flowers, rain, and sunlight. We use only discarded or naturally fallen flora, honoring sustainability and ensuring nothing goes to waste.

Eri Silk Care
Your Eri Silk stole is a delicate creation and should be handled with care. For the first few washes, opt for dry cleaning to preserve the natural colors. If washing at home, use cold water and a mild detergent. Do not soak for long hours or wring the fabric. Gently press to remove excess water and dry in shade. Keep away from direct sunlight. Iron on a low or medium setting and store in a muslin or cotton bag.

Before You Receive Your Silk Stole
Your Eri Silk stole has been handcrafted on a handloom. Small irregularities or variations in tone are natural marks of its handmade beauty and dyeing process.
Minor color differences may appear due to screen resolution. While we strive to present images as true to life as possible, the actual shade may vary slightly in person.
