Product Description

This Mulberry Silk stole holds a quiet kind of magic. Nature leaves its traces across the surface as botanical impressions of leaves and delicate floral silhouettes settle onto the silk like soft rain falling over forest floor. The palette blends moss green, chestnut and muted mauve, creating a grounded yet dreamlike mood.
Handcrafted and bundle dyed using natural elements, every mark tells a story of pigment, steam and time. The pure Mulberry Silk underneath feels feathery light on the skin, flowing with effortless movement. This is more than an accessory. It is a piece of nature you can wear and carry with you.

What is Mulberry Silk?

Mulberry Silk is admired globally for its purity, sheen and velvety smooth texture. Woven on handlooms, each strand comes from cocoons formed by mulberry-fed silkworms, resulting in naturally lustrous fibre.
Soft, breathable and hypoallergenic, Mulberry Silk is kind to sensitive skin and comfortable throughout the year. At Pashmsutra, every stole is made from pure handloom silk with no synthetic blends, ensuring safety, authenticity and heirloom quality.

Process of Bundle Dyeing

Bundle dyeing begins with collecting seasonal flowers and leaves, often sourced respectfully from temple offerings. These botanicals are arranged on handwoven Mulberry Silk, which is then rolled into tight bundles.
The bundles are steamed for hours, allowing natural pigments to seep into the fibres and create organic impressions. As nature controls the outcome, no two pieces are ever alike. Each stole becomes its own artwork made by flowers, sunlight and time. Only discarded or naturally fallen flowers are used, preserving sustainability in every step.

Mulberry Silk Care

This Mulberry Silk stole is delicate and needs careful handling. Choose gentle dry cleaning to protect the natural dyes. Keep away from direct sunlight to maintain the floral impressions. Avoid harsh detergents and never wring the fabric.
Iron on a low silk setting or use a protective cloth. Store in a cool, dry place, wrapped in muslin. Avoid plastic, moisture and perfume, as they can alter the natural colour.

Before You Receive Your Silk Stole

Handloom weaving and natural dyeing give each piece its character. Minor irregularities or tonal variations are part of its handcrafted beauty.
Slight colour differences may occur due to screen settings. While we aim to show the closest match, the actual shade may appear a little different in person.
