Product Description

Soft, expressive and full of character, this Mulberry Silk stole brings nature’s artistry alive through hand pressed botanical imprints. Real leaves and ferns release their pigments onto the silk through eco printing, creating organic silhouettes that feel serene and poetic.
Along the borders, a Shibori dyed texture adds movement and contrast, deepening the warm tones of the wine coloured base. Light, fluid and soothing against the skin, the stole works beautifully with both contemporary outfits and traditional wear. The organic prints make it a statement piece that pairs effortlessly with subtle or bold colours.

What is Mulberry Silk?

Mulberry silk is loved worldwide for its purity, shine and smooth touch. Spun from cocoons of mulberry-fed silkworms and woven on handlooms, it creates a fabric that is soft, breathable and hypoallergenic.
At Pashmsutra, only pure handloom silk is used. There are no blends or synthetics, ensuring each piece stays authentic, gentle on the skin and heirloom worthy.

Process of Bundle Dyeing

Bundle dyeing begins with collecting seasonal flowers and leaves, often sourced respectfully from temples after daily offerings. These botanicals are placed on the silk, which is then rolled tightly into a bundle.
Steaming allows the natural pigments to settle into the fibres. Every print depends on nature’s mood, making each stole one of a kind. The process uses only fallen or discarded flora, staying true to responsible, waste-free craftsmanship.

Mulberry Silk Care

Choose gentle dry cleaning for the best upkeep. Keep the stole away from direct sunlight to protect its natural dyes.
Avoid harsh detergents. Iron on a low silk setting or place a cloth on top while ironing. Store in a cool, dry space wrapped in muslin. Avoid moisture and perfumes, as dampness can alter the colour.

Before You Receive Your Silk Stole

Handloom weaving and botanical dyeing create small irregularities or shifts in tone. These are natural features of handcrafted work.
Colour may slightly vary from screen to screen. We aim to present the closest possible match.
