Product Description
Inspired by nature and crafted with thoughtful artistry, this ivory Mulberry Silk stole holds the gentle poetry of leaves and blooming petals softly imprinted onto silk. Through the traditional bundle dyeing process, artisans press flowers and foliage onto the fabric, allowing natural pigments to seep in and form quiet, timeless motifs.
The palette rests in tones of ivory, soft grey, and hints of gold, giving the stole a serene yet expressive character. Light as air and smooth to the touch, it drapes with quiet elegance. This piece is a celebration of mindful fashion, where beauty is shaped by patience, intention, and the simplicity of nature.
What is Mulberry Silk?
Mulberry Silk is globally treasured for its purity, natural sheen, and buttery smooth feel. The fine threads come from cocoons of silkworms fed exclusively on mulberry leaves, producing a naturally lustrous fiber.
Handwoven on traditional looms, Mulberry Silk is gentle on the skin, hypoallergenic, breathable, and ideal for year-round wear. At Pashmsutra, every piece is made using authentic handloom Mulberry Silk without synthetics, preserving its purity and heirloom value.
Process of Bundle Dyeing
Bundle dyeing begins with collecting seasonal flowers and leaves, respectfully sourced from daily temple offerings. The botanicals are arranged carefully on the Mulberry Silk, after which the fabric is rolled tightly into bundles. Through slow steaming, the pigments from petals and leaves seep into the fibers, creating natural imprints.
Each stole is completely unique. Shapes, tones, and patterns depend on nature’s rhythm. Every piece becomes a canvas painted by flowers, steam, and sunlight. Only discarded or naturally fallen flowers are used, honoring sustainability and nature-driven craftsmanship.
Mulberry Silk Care
Mulberry Silk is delicate and benefits from gentle care. Choose soft dry cleaning to preserve its beauty. Keep away from direct sunlight to maintain the natural print. Avoid harsh detergents and do not wring or twist. Iron on the lowest silk setting or cover with a cloth before ironing. Store wrapped in muslin, away from moisture, plastic, and perfumes to protect its natural color.
Before You Receive Your Silk Stole
This Mulberry Silk stole is handwoven and organically dyed, so small irregularities or subtle tonal variations are natural features of its handcrafted origin.
Due to differences in screen settings, slight color variations may appear. While we do our best to represent the product accurately, the actual shade may look a little different in person.
