Evocative of the serene drama of merging waters, this handcrafted ombre Pashmina shawl is a tranquil spectacle of depth and fluid beauty. Transitioning from a soft teal to a deeper, more intense shade, it captures the quiet convergence of two worlds — calm and profound. Handwoven from the purest Ladakhi Pashmina, the shawl feels feathery light yet luxuriously warm, with a smooth texture that caresses the skin gently. Whether draped effortlessly over the shoulders or styled around the neck, it adds graceful refinement to both traditional attire and modern silhouettes. A perfect blend of art, heritage and understated luxury.

About the Craft
Ombre dyeing is a delicate artistic technique in which pure Pashmina is hand dyed to create a seamless gradient. Through slow immersion and precise hand-dipping, each shade melts into the next without harsh lines, forming a fluid transition of colours. Unlike machine dyeing, artisans rely entirely on instinct, controlling saturation, tone and depth through skillful handwork. Pashmina’s natural softness absorbs dye beautifully, giving every ombre piece its signature painterly charm.
No two ombre shawls are identical — each one is a one-of-a-kind expression of the artisan’s mastery.

The journey begins in Ladakh, where the down fibre of the Changthangi goat is collected, cleaned and sorted. Women artisans then hand spin the fibre — a painstaking process that takes nearly two months to produce enough yarn for a single shawl, with only a small quantity spun daily. Skilled male weavers then mount the yarn on wooden handlooms, crafting the airy, warm texture for which Pashmina is celebrated. After weaving, the shawl is passed to master dyers and finishers for colouring and refinement.

Pashmina Care
Always dry clean your pure Pashmina. If hand washing, use cold water and Pashmina/Cashmere shampoo. Avoid wringing or twisting. Gently press out water by placing the shawl between towels and rolling them together. Air dry flat, away from sunlight. Do not hang.
Store your Pashmina in a clean, dry place, wrapped in muslin cloth with neem or cedar to protect against moths. With mindful care, your Pashmina will last generations.
