Product Description

An ode to quiet luxury, this rust Mulberry silk stole blends traditional craft with modern refinement. The fabric carries a natural glow that shifts gently with the light, revealing warm undertones that enrich its earthy shade. The stole is bundle dyed by hand, allowing natural pigments from flowers and leaves to settle into the silk in soft botanical traces.
Each fold reveals subtle variations in tone, with floral and paisley impressions appearing like shadows drifting across water. Silky smooth, featherlight, and wonderfully elegant, this stole elevates both everyday and festive dressing with ease.

What is Mulberry Silk?

Mulberry Silk is renowned globally for its purity, remarkable sheen, and buttery soft texture. The fine threads are derived from cocoons of silkworms fed exclusively on mulberry leaves, creating a naturally lustrous and smooth fiber.
Handwoven on traditional looms, Mulberry Silk feels gentle on the skin, is hypoallergenic, breathable, and suitable for year-round wear. At Pashmsutra, only authentic handloom Mulberry Silk is used, free from synthetics or blends, ensuring each stole remains pure, luxurious, and heirloom worthy.

Process of Bundle Dyeing

Bundle dyeing begins with gathering seasonal flowers and leaves, often sourced respectfully from temples after daily offerings. These are arranged carefully on the silk, which is then rolled tightly into bundles. Through a slow steaming process, the natural pigments seep into the fabric and leave behind organic imprints.
No two stoles are ever identical. The tones, shapes, and intensity of the motifs depend entirely on nature. Each piece becomes a canvas painted by petals, steam, time, and sunlight. Only discarded or naturally fallen flowers are used, honouring sustainability and mindful craftsmanship.

Mulberry Silk Care

This Mulberry Silk stole is delicate and should be cared for gently. Choose soft dry cleaning for best preservation. Avoid direct sunlight, as organic prints may fade. Do not use harsh detergents or soaps. Iron on a low silk setting or place a cloth over it before ironing. Store in a cool, dry place, wrapped in muslin. Avoid plastic, moisture, and perfumes, as they may affect the natural color.

Before You Receive Your Silk Stole

This Mulberry Silk stole is handwoven, so small irregularities or tonal variations are natural characteristics of its handcrafted origin and organic dye process.
Due to screen differences, slight color variation may occur. While we do our best to present accurate images, the actual shade may look a bit different in person.
