Bold, radiant, and classically elegant, this hot red Pashmina shawl is a true statement of sophistication. The vivid tone adds confidence and charm to any ensemble, making it a versatile hero piece for both celebrations and everyday luxury. Handspun by Kashmiri women artisans using a traditional wooden yinder, each fibre carries a legacy of skill and patience. Feather-light, breathable, and incredibly soft, it drapes with natural grace. The subtle fringes on the sides enhance the handcrafted appeal, transforming this shawl into a piece of wearable heritage. Whether wrapped for warmth on winter evenings or styled for formal gatherings, it promises timeless beauty and heirloom value.

About the Craft:
Every inch of this pure Pashmina shawl reflects dedication rooted in centuries of tradition. Its vibrant solid hue is achieved through small-batch dyeing, allowing depth, purity, and authenticity to remain intact. Unlike mass dyeing methods, hand-dyeing requires delicate handling, repeated rinsing, and slow drying to safeguard the softness and natural sheen of the fabric.
Pashmina creation begins in Ladakh, where the fine down fibre of the Changthangi goat is collected and sorted. Kashmiri women then hand spin this delicate fibre — a demanding process that can take up to two months for a single shawl. Skilled craftsmen follow by weaving the yarn on traditional wooden looms, creating the lightness and warmth that define genuine Pashmina. Specialists may then complete the piece with finishing touches like dyeing or embroidery.

Pashmina Care
Always dry clean for best results. If hand washing, use cold water and Pashmina/Cashmere shampoo. Do not wring or twist. Gently squeeze out water. Roll between towels to remove excess moisture and air dry flat. Avoid direct sun exposure.
Store in a cool, dry place. Fold neatly, wrap in muslin, and use neem or cedar for protection. With proper care, your Pashmina can last for generations.

Before you receive your Pashmina, Please Note:
Authentic handcrafted Pashmina may show slight irregularities in weave or finishing. These are natural hallmarks of manual artistry, not defects.
Colour may vary slightly due to screen differences. While we aim for accuracy, the actual shade may appear a little different on your device.

G.I. Certified Handspun Pashmina: Why It Is More Expensive than Regular Pure Pashmina

Pashmina has for long been cherished and celebrated as the pinnacle of luxury. It is a fabric, so fine, warm and timeless that even the highest of royalty adorned it for centuries. But among all the forms nature blesses our wardrobes with, Handspun Pashmina stands apart as the purest, most authentic. Before modern machinery took over, the threads were spun exclusively with bare hands, slowly, delicately, with a deep emotional connection between the artisans and the fibre. Today, just a small percentage of artisans follow this ancient method, making handspun pieces incredibly rare and precious. Yet there are a few dealers of handspun shawls, like Pashmsutra, which sells 100% pure, hand spun shawls online......
