Product Description
This Mulberry Silk stole is a gentle blend of artistry and nature. Crafted on a handloom and decorated through the bundle dyeing technique, it carries delicate impressions of maple leaves, fern fronds and eucalyptus pods. Each imprint enhances the natural sheen of silk, creating a harmony of warm amber and rosewood tones that shift softly into an ombre effect.
Airy, smooth and luxurious, the stole moves with grace and adds a refined charm to ethnic outfits and contemporary attire alike.
What is Mulberry Silk?
Mulberry silk is admired worldwide for its purity, natural shine and smooth feel. The fibres come from cocoons of mulberry-fed silkworms and are woven on handlooms with exceptional skill.
It is hypoallergenic, breathable and gentle on the skin, making it suitable for all seasons. Pashmsutra uses only authentic handloom Mulberry Silk, ensuring no synthetic blends and preserving its natural softness and longevity.
Process of Bundle Dyeing
Bundle dyeing involves collecting seasonal flowers and leaves, often sourced respectfully from temple offerings. These botanicals are placed on the handwoven Mulberry Silk and the fabric is rolled into bundles.
Steaming allows the pigments to seep into the silk, leaving behind organic shapes and tones that cannot be replicated. Each stole becomes a one of a kind artwork shaped entirely by nature.
Only fallen or discarded flora is used, making the process mindful, sustainable and rooted in respect for nature.
Mulberry Silk Care
Handle your Mulberry Silk stole gently to maintain its beauty. Dry cleaning is recommended. Keep it away from direct sunlight to preserve the natural prints.
Avoid harsh detergents. Iron on a low silk setting or with a protective cloth. Store the stole in a cool, dry place wrapped in muslin. Keep it away from moisture and perfume.
Before You Receive Your Silk Stole
Handloom weaving and botanical dyeing naturally create small irregularities and tonal variations. These are marks of craftsmanship and not defects.
Minor colour differences may occur due to screen settings. We strive to show colours accurately, but the actual shade may appear slightly different.
