Product Description
A gentle transition from ivory to peach hues defines this Mulberry Silk stole — a picture of understated grace. Its smooth, shimmery texture reflects the finesse of the world’s most refined silk, woven by skilled artisans on a traditional handloom, keeping centuries of craftsmanship alive. Subtle botanical eco-printed motifs glint softly like sunlit dew, enriching the fabric’s serene drape.
Each thread has been woven, dyed, and finished by hand, untouched by machines. The process is slow, deliberate, and rooted in mindfulness — a collaboration between artistry and time itself. Breathable, exquisite, and luxuriously soft, this stole is perfect for those who appreciate slow fashion and the timeless beauty of handcrafted artistry.
What is Mulberry Silk?
Celebrated for its finesse and purity, Mulberry Silk is known for its unmatched sheen, buttery-smooth texture, and strength. Woven on traditional handlooms, its delicate threads come from cocoons of mulberry-fed silkworms, producing a naturally lustrous and soft fiber.
Mulberry Silk is gentle on the skin, hypoallergenic, and breathable, ensuring comfort throughout the year. At Pashmsutra, we offer only authentic handloom Mulberry Silk — with no synthetics or blends — preserving the purity, safety, and heirloom quality of every piece.
Process of Bundle Dyeing
The process of bundle dyeing begins with collecting seasonal flowers and leaves, respectfully sourced from temples after daily offerings. These are carefully placed on handwoven Mulberry Silk stoles and scarves before being tightly rolled into bundles and steamed, allowing the natural pigments to seep into the fibers.
No two pieces are ever identical. The colors, shapes, and imprints depend entirely on nature’s rhythm, turning each stole into a unique canvas painted by flowers, rain, and sunlight. At Pashmsutra, we use only discarded or naturally fallen flora, honoring sustainability and ensuring nothing goes to waste.
Mulberry Silk Care
Your Mulberry Silk stole is delicate and should be treated with care. Opt for gentle dry cleaning to maintain its natural sheen and floral imprints. Avoid direct sunlight, as it may fade the organic dyes. Do not use harsh soaps or detergents. Iron using a low silk setting or cover with a protective cloth.
Store the stole in a cool, dry place, wrapped in a muslin cloth and away from moisture or perfume. Avoid plastic bags, as dampness can alter its natural color.
Before You Receive Your Silk Stole:
Your Mulberry Silk stole has been handcrafted on a handloom. Small irregularities or tonal variations are natural marks of its handmade beauty and dyeing process.
Minor color differences may occur due to screen resolution. While we strive to present images as true to life as possible, the actual shade may vary slightly in person.
