A breathtaking Ivory and Pink Ombre Pashmina Shawl, this piece embodies soft elegance inspired by dawn’s first glow and dusk’s gentle blush. Hand spun and handwoven from the purest Ladakhi Pashmina, it carries an ethereal gradient that melts from delicate ivory into a tender rose-pink. Its featherlight warmth and fluid drape make it a perfect companion for occasions that call for subtle luxury and quiet sophistication. More than just an adornment, the shawl is a celebration of tradition, nature and artistic mastery, woven into every whisper-soft thread.
About the Craft
Ombre dyeing is a highly detailed artistic method where pure Pashmina is hand dyed to achieve a seamless gradient. Through slow immersion and controlled hand-dipping, one shade gently fades into the next, producing the unmistakable ombre effect. Unlike machine dyeing, artisans rely entirely on sensory skill — their eyes and hands guide the saturation, depth and tonal harmony of each piece. Pashmina, with its natural softness, absorbs dye exceptionally well, turning every shawl into a luxurious canvas of wearable art.
Each ombre shawl is inherently unique — a reflection of the artisan’s vision and personal craftsmanship.
Pashmina creation begins in Ladakh, where the fine down of the Changthangi goat is gathered, cleaned and sorted. Women artisans hand spin the fibre — a painstaking process that can take up to two months for a single shawl, with only small amounts spun daily. The yarn is then woven on traditional wooden looms by master craftsmen to create the iconic airy, warm fabric. Afterwards, the shawl is passed to artisans specializing in dyeing, embroidery or finishing.
Pashmina Care
Always dry clean your pure Pashmina. If hand washing, use cold water and Pashmina/Cashmere shampoo. Never wring or twist. Gently press out excess water by placing the shawl between two towels and rolling them. Air dry flat, away from direct sunlight. Do not hang.
Store your Pashmina in a clean, dry place. Fold neatly, wrap in muslin cloth and keep with neem or cedar for protection. With careful handling, your Pashmina will last for generations.
Before You Receive Your Pashmina, Please Note
Authentic Pashmina is handcrafted. Slight irregularities in weave or dye reflect artisan work — these are not flaws but marks of authenticity, making each piece truly unique.
Slight colour variations may appear due to screen differences. While we aim for accuracy, the actual shade may vary slightly on your device.
