Product Description

A true ode to nature’s palette, this striped Pashmina shawl beautifully captures the calm rhythm of the earth and sky. Handwoven with alternating tones of green, blue, and soft pink, it evokes a serene harmony like sunlight glinting over rivers and blossoms swaying in the wind. The pastel interplay of hues lends it a refreshing yet elegant aesthetic, ideal for both everyday sophistication and relaxed luxury.
Lightweight yet immensely warm, this shawl wraps you in comfort while adding a vibrant touch to your look. Whether draped loosely over your shoulders or styled for formal occasions, it brings an effortless charm that speaks of artistry, balance, and grace.

About the Craft

The making of a Pashmina shawl is an intricate process that begins in the high plateaus of Ladakh, where the fine down fibre of the Changthangi goat is collected, cleaned, and sorted by hand. Women artisans then spin this fibre into yarn using traditional wooden yinders, producing only a small amount each day a labour of love that can take nearly two months for a single piece.
Once spun, the yarn is handwoven by master craftsmen in Kashmir on wooden looms to create a fabric that is ethereally soft, feather-light, and remarkably warm. The shawl is then finished by specialists through gentle dyeing, embroidery, or detailing, each stage adding depth and individuality to the piece. Every Pashmina thus embodies centuries of craftsmanship, patience, and cultural legacy.

Pashmina Care

Always dry clean your pure Pashmina for the safest care. If hand washing, use cold water and mild Pashmina or Cashmere shampoo. Do not wring or twist; gently press to remove water. Lay flat between two towels, roll to absorb moisture, and air dry away from sunlight.
Store your Pashmina in a clean, dry place wrapped in muslin cloth with neem or cedar wood. When properly cared for, it will remain soft, warm, and beautiful for generations.

Before You Receive Your Pashmina

Each Pashmsutra shawl is entirely handcrafted, ensuring that every piece is one of a kind. Subtle irregularities in weave or tone are natural marks of genuine artistry, not flaws.
Minor colour variations may occur due to screen differences. While every effort is made to display the shade accurately, the actual tone may vary slightly in person.
