Meet your new winter companion: a handcrafted Pashmina muffler, meticulously made by artisans using time-honored Kashmiri techniques. Bold blue, deep black, and subtle white stripes come together in this versatile piece, lending a timeless yet modern appeal that complements any look. Hand-spun on traditional wooden yinders, the muffler carries the feather-light softness, warmth, and airy comfort that true Pashmina is known for. Its breathable weave makes it ideal for layering without bulk, offering just the right balance of elegance and functionality. Whether paired with a tailored jacket, a casual shirt, or a cozy sweater, this muffler wraps you in artisanal grace while keeping you warm through the season.

About the Craft
The making of Pashmina is an art rooted in heritage and patience. It begins in Ladakh, where the fine undercoat of the changthangi goat is collected, cleaned, and sorted. Women artisans of the valley then hand spin the fibre—a laborious process that can take up to a month to prepare enough yarn for a single muffler, often working 8–10 hours a day. Once spun, the delicate yarn is woven by skilled craftsmen on wooden handlooms, producing luxuriously soft, featherlight Pashmina mufflers. The pieces are then passed on to specialists for finishing touches such as dyeing or embroidery, ensuring each muffler is both an artistic and cultural treasure.

Pashmina Care
Always dry clean your pure Pashmina for the safest care. If hand washing, use cold water and Pashmina/Cashmere shampoo. Do not wring or twist. Gently squeeze out excess water. Dry by rolling it between two clean towels, then lay flat to air dry away from direct sunlight.
Store in a clean, dry place. Fold neatly, wrap in a muslin cloth, and add neem or cedar for protection against moths. With proper care, your Pashmina will last for generations.

Before you receive your Pashmina, Please Note
Authentic Pashmina is manually woven and embroidered by artisans. Subtle irregularities in weave or embroidery are not flaws but marks of authenticity that make each piece unique.
Colour variations may occur due to different screen settings. While every effort is made to present images true to life, the actual shade may appear slightly different on your device.

G.I. Certified Handspun Pashmina: Why It Is More Expensive than Regular Pure Pashmina

Pashmina has for long been cherished and celebrated as the pinnacle of luxury. It is a fabric, so fine, warm and timeless that even the highest of royalty adorned it for centuries. But among all the forms nature blesses our wardrobes with, Handspun Pashmina stands apart as the purest, most authentic. Before modern machinery took over, the threads were spun exclusively with bare hands, slowly, delicately, with a deep emotional connection between the artisans and the fibre. Today, just a small percentage of artisans follow this ancient method, making handspun pieces incredibly rare and precious. Yet there are a few dealers of handspun shawls, like Pashmsutra, which sells 100% pure, hand spun shawls online......
