Product Description
Subtle yet striking, this Mulberry Silk stole captures the calm beauty of early autumn through its warm copper glow. Bundle dyed with real leaves and flower petals, the silk carries delicate natural imprints that look like soft reflections drifting across water. Each vein and outline left behind by these botanicals holds a story of patience, time and transformation.
The natural sheen of Mulberry Silk enhances the earthy tones, catching light in every fold and adding quiet luxury to the piece. Handcrafted thoughtfully, the stole embraces the philosophy of slow fashion where nature’s own irregularities become the most enchanting details.
What is Mulberry Silk?
Mulberry Silk is celebrated around the world for its purity, flawless sheen and buttery texture. Woven on traditional handlooms, each strand is derived from cocoons of mulberry-fed silkworms, resulting in a naturally lustrous and soft fibre.
Breathable, hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin, Mulberry Silk works in all seasons. Pashmsutra uses only pure handloom silk without any blends, ensuring each stole remains authentic, safe and truly heirloom worthy.
Process of Bundle Dyeing
Bundle dyeing begins with gathering fresh flowers and leaves, often sourced thoughtfully from temples after daily offerings. These botanicals are arranged on handwoven Mulberry Silk before the fabric is tightly rolled into bundles.
The bundles are then steamed, allowing the pigments from petals and foliage to seep naturally into the fibre. The final result is a one-of-a-kind artwork shaped by nature itself. Colours, shapes and imprints change with every piece, making each stole completely unique. Only discarded or naturally fallen flowers are used, honouring sustainable and ethical practices.
Mulberry Silk Care
This Mulberry Silk stole is delicate and needs gentle care. Dry clean to preserve the natural colours. Keep it away from direct sunlight to avoid fading. Do not use harsh detergents. Iron on a low silk setting or with a protective cloth.
Store it in a cool, dry place wrapped in muslin. Avoid plastic bags, moisture and perfume, as they can affect the fabric’s natural texture and colour.
Before You Receive Your Silk Stole
Handloom weaving and natural dyeing create subtle irregularities and tonal shifts, which are signs of genuine craftsmanship.
Minor colour variations may occur due to screen differences. We aim to display the closest match, but the actual shade may appear slightly different when seen in person.
