Product Description
This eco printed Mulberry Silk stole is crafted for those who appreciate art shaped by nature. The serene blue base holds botanical impressions of fern leaves, eucalyptus pods and wild foliage, each captured through the bundle dyeing technique using real flowers and leaves.
Soft tones of bronze, olive and sepia blend gently across the lustrous silk, creating a quiet harmony of colour and texture. Lightweight, breathable and fluid, the stole drapes with effortless elegance and adds a mindful, artistic touch to both casual and formal looks.
What is Mulberry Silk?
Mulberry silk is known worldwide for its purity, natural sheen and buttery smooth texture. The fibres come from cocoons of mulberry-fed silkworms and are woven on traditional handlooms by skilled artisans.
It is hypoallergenic, breathable and gentle on the skin, making it ideal for year round wear. At Pashmsutra, every piece is crafted from authentic handloom Mulberry Silk without blends or synthetics, ensuring lasting softness and heirloom quality.
Process of Bundle Dyeing
Bundle dyeing begins by gathering seasonal flowers and leaves, many sourced respectfully from temple offerings. These botanicals are carefully placed on the Mulberry Silk, which is then rolled into tight bundles.
Steaming allows the natural pigments to seep into the fibres, creating prints that cannot be replicated. Each motif depends on nature’s rhythm, making every stole truly one of a kind.
Only discarded or naturally fallen flora is used, keeping the process sustainable and aligned with nature.
Mulberry Silk Care
This Mulberry Silk stole requires gentle handling. Choose dry cleaning to maintain the purity of the fabric. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight as it may fade the natural prints.
Do not use harsh detergents. Iron on a low silk setting or use a protective cloth. Store the stole in a cool, dry place wrapped in muslin. Keep away from moisture and perfume.
Before You Receive Your Silk Stole
Small irregularities or subtle tonal differences are natural outcomes of handloom weaving and botanical dyeing. These details make each piece unique.
Minor colour variations may appear due to screen settings. While we aim to display shades accurately, the actual colour may appear slightly different in person.
