Product Description
Light and fluid, this Eri Silk stole captures the quiet poetry of nature through its hydrangea leaf motifs. The motifs have been organically imprinted in olive and sage tones, symbolizing gratitude, grace, and heartfelt emotions. Gentle like the soft spring breeze yet warm like the early summer sun, the stole drapes effortlessly, perfect for layering over contemporary or traditional ensembles. Finished with refined fringes at both ends, the stole embodies understated elegance that reflects nature’s calm and timeless artistry.

What is Eri Silk?
Often called Ahimsa Silk (Ahimsa means non-violent) or Peace Silk, Eri Silk is India’s most ethical and skin friendly silk. Unlike traditional silk, it is spun from open-ended cocoons after the moth has naturally emerged, making it cruelty free and ideal for vegans.
The texture is light, breathable, and feels gentle and nurturing against the skin. Known for its skin healing and medicinal properties, Eri Silk helps regulate temperature, absorbs moisture, and is often recommended for those with allergies or sensitive skin.
At Pashmsutra, we use only pure handloom Eri Silk, ensuring every piece is authentic, sustainable, cruelty free, and crafted without artificial or chemical dyes.

Process of Bundle Dyeing
The process of bundle dyeing begins with gathering seasonal flowers and leaves, respectfully sourced from temples after daily offerings. These are arranged carefully on handwoven Eri Silk scarves and stoles, then rolled into tight bundles and steamed so natural pigments seep gently into the fibers.
No two pieces are ever identical. The colors, shapes, and imprints depend on nature’s rhythm. Each stole is a living canvas painted by flowers, rain, and sunlight. We use only discarded or naturally fallen flora, honoring sustainability and ensuring nothing goes to waste.

Eri Silk Care
Your Eri Silk stole is a delicate creation and should be handled with care. For the first few washes, opt for dry cleaning to preserve its natural dyes. If washing at home, use cold water and a mild detergent. Do not soak for long hours, wring, rub, or twist. Gently press to remove excess water and dry in shade. Keep away from direct sunlight. Iron on a low or medium setting and store in a muslin or cotton bag.

Before You Receive Your Silk Stole
Your Eri Silk stole has been handcrafted on a traditional handloom. Small irregularities or variations in tone are marks of its handmade beauty and natural dye process.
Minor color differences may appear due to screen resolution. While we aim to present images as true to life as possible, the actual shade may vary slightly in person.
