Product Description
As calm as the monsoon skies and as artistic as nature’s own brushstroke, here is a carefully chosen Eri Silk stole, a masterpiece of artisan expression. A blend of nature’s care and human craftsmanship, the stole features large lotus motifs eco printed over the base using the bundle dyeing technique. The delicate imprints float across the fabric like ripples on still water, serene, grounding, and full of quiet poetry.
This stole is a celebration of mindful luxury, soft on your skin, warm in feel, and timeless in its beauty. Let it elevate your everyday looks with its artisanal charm and natural artistry.

What is Eri Silk?
Often called Ahimsa Silk (Ahimsa meaning non-violent) or Peace Silk, Eri Silk is India’s most ethical and skin friendly silk. Unlike traditional silk, it is spun from open-ended cocoons after the moth has naturally emerged, making it cruelty free and ideal for vegans.
Lightweight and breathable, Eri Silk feels gentle and nurturing on the skin. Known for its skin healing and temperature regulating properties, it absorbs moisture and is highly recommended for those with sensitive or allergy-prone skin.
At Pashmsutra, we use only pure handloom Eri Silk, authentic, sustainable, cruelty free, and free from artificial or chemical dyes. Every stole reflects the quiet beauty of conscious craftsmanship.

Process of Bundle Dyeing
The bundle dyeing process begins with the careful gathering of seasonal flowers and leaves, respectfully sourced from temples after daily offerings. These are delicately placed on handwoven Eri Silk before the fabric is rolled into tight bundles and steamed, allowing natural pigments to seep into the fibers.
No two pieces are ever identical. The colors, shapes, and patterns depend entirely on nature’s rhythm. Each stole becomes a living artwork, painted by flowers, rain, and sunlight. At Pashmsutra, we use only discarded or naturally fallen flora, honoring sustainability and ensuring nothing goes to waste.

Eri Silk Care
Your Eri Silk stole is a delicate creation and should be handled with care. For the first few washes, opt for dry cleaning to preserve the natural dyes. If washing at home, use cold water and a mild detergent. Do not soak for long hours or wring the fabric. Gently press to remove excess water and dry in shade. Avoid direct sunlight. Iron on a low to medium setting and store in a breathable muslin or cotton bag.

Before You Receive Your Silk Stole
Each Eri Silk stole is handcrafted on a traditional loom. Small irregularities or tone variations are not flaws but marks of its authenticity and handmade beauty.
Minor color differences may appear due to screen settings. While we aim for accuracy, the actual shade may vary slightly in person.
