Product Description
Bathed in a tender pink hue, this Mulberry Silk stole feels like a whisper of spring in Kashmir, where blossoms fill the valleys. The gleaming silk base carries the gentle artistry of eco printing, where fallen marigold petals, rose leaves, and eucalyptus fragments are pressed and steamed onto the fabric, leaving their natural imprints and subtle hues.
Each floral mark tells a story of earth, craft, and care a reflection of nature’s rhythm captured through patient hands. Soft in texture, fluid in drape, and entirely handloom-woven without machines, this stole embodies the essence of slow and sustainable luxury. Designed for those who seek elegance with intention, every piece takes days to complete, blending tradition, time, and thoughtful beauty.
What is Mulberry Silk?
Renowned worldwide for its finesse and purity, Mulberry Silk stands out for its lustrous sheen, buttery-smooth texture, and remarkable strength. Woven on traditional handlooms, its fine threads are drawn from cocoons of mulberry-fed silkworms, creating a naturally soft and radiant fiber.
Mulberry Silk is gentle on the skin, hypoallergenic, and breathable, offering comfort all year round. At Pashmsutra, we craft every piece from 100% authentic handloom silk, with no synthetics or blends, ensuring purity, safety, and heirloom quality.
Process of Bundle Dyeing
The process of bundle dyeing begins with gathering seasonal flowers and leaves, respectfully sourced from temples after daily offerings. These are carefully placed on handwoven Mulberry Silk stoles and scarves, then rolled into tight bundles and steamed so natural pigments gently seep into the fibers.
No two pieces are ever identical. The colors, shapes, and imprints depend entirely on nature’s whim, turning each stole into a living artwork painted by flowers, rain, and sunlight. At Pashmsutra, we use only discarded or naturally fallen flora, honoring sustainability and ensuring nothing goes to waste.
Mulberry Silk Care
Your Mulberry Silk stole is delicate and must be handled with care. Opt for gentle dry cleaning to preserve its natural dyes and sheen. Avoid direct sunlight, as it may fade the floral prints. Do not use harsh soaps or detergents. Iron using a low silk setting or with a protective cloth.
Store the stole in a cool, dry place wrapped in a muslin cloth, away from moisture and perfume. Avoid plastic bags, as dampness can alter its natural color and texture.
Before You Receive Your Silk Stole
Your Mulberry Silk stole has been handcrafted on a traditional handloom. Small irregularities or variations in tone are natural marks of its handmade beauty and dyeing process.
Minor color differences may appear due to screen resolution. While we strive to present images as true to life as possible, the actual shade may vary slightly in person.
