An ode from the artisans to the Spring time of Kashmir when blossoms bloom at every inch of the valley. A handcrafted lime green Pashmina stole bringing together two exquisite Kashmiri art forms - hand painting and hand embroidery - is all you need as seasons change. Spanning across its plush Pashmina base bloom vivid tulips, delicately hand-painted in radiant hues, each petal bordered by hand embroidery threads. Featuring the harmonious blend of contemporary artistry and timeless tradition, the stole is ideal for the patrons of everlasting fashion.

About the Craft
Hand painting a Pashmina shawl/stole is one of Kashmiri's most delicate and creative art forms. Using the base as canvas, immensely skilled artists apply each stroke, transforming natural inspirations into wearable art. It takes calm hands and an artist's eye to paint themes like tulips, chinars, and flowers with the highest precision using delicate brushes and dyes inspired by nature.
No two hand-painted works are ever the same, which makes this craft unique. Each brushstroke, colour, and detail is distinct and reflects the artist's individuality. Intricate hand needlework is frequently used to further enhance paintings after they are finished, producing an amazing interaction of paint and thread.
The art of Pashmina making involves a series of meticulous steps. It all starts in Ladakh where the down fibre of the changthangi goat is collected, cleaned, and sorted. The fibre is then hand spun by womenfolk of the valley - which is the most painstaking labour of love. To spin fibre for one Pashmina stole, a single artisan takes atleast 2 months, with just a handful of fibre spun per day. Even this takes them 8-10 hours everyday. Spinning is followed by weaving, where men mount the delicate spun fibre onto wooden handlooms and create heavenly soft and lightweight Pashmina stoles. These are later handed over to specialists for further embellishing like dyeing, embroidery, or prints

Pashmina Care
Always dry clean your pure Pashmina for the safest care. But if hand washing, use cold water and Pashmina/Cashmere shampoo. Do not wring or twist. Always squeeze the water out gently. Dry your Pashmina by placing it between two clean towels and rolling them together. Air dry, do not hang. Do not place it under direct sunlight for drying.
Store your Pashmina at a clean, dry place. To keep it safe from moths, fold it neatly, wrap it in a muslin cloth, and store it with neem or cedar. Pashmina will last for generations if handled with care.

Before you receive your Pashmina, Please Note:
Authentic Pashmina is woven and embroidered by artisans manually. There can be irregularities in weave or embroidery showing the meticulous manual work of artisans. Note that these are not flaws but marks of authenticity that make your piece truly one of a kind
