Product Description

Soft, serene and full of quiet elegance, this silvery grey Mulberry Silk stole carries nature’s imprints in the most poetic way. Created through the traditional bundle dyeing technique, delicate eucalyptus and maple leaves are pressed and steamed onto the silk, leaving behind organic motifs that fall across the base in shades of soft gold, sage and earthy brown.
The natural sheen of Mulberry silk enhances every imprint, creating a play of light and shadow that changes with each fold. Handloom woven with care and intention, this stole blends sustainable luxury with timeless artistry. It is perfect for those who appreciate refined styling, natural textures and the depth of handmade craft.

What is Mulberry Silk?

Mulberry Silk is treasured worldwide for its purity, luminous sheen and smooth texture. It is woven on traditional handlooms using delicate threads spun from mulberry-fed silkworm cocoons, creating a fabric that is naturally lustrous and incredibly soft.
The fibre is breathable, hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin, making it ideal for all seasons. At Pashmsutra, only pure handloom Mulberry Silk is used, with no synthetic blends, ensuring each piece remains authentic, safe and long-lasting.

Process of Bundle Dyeing

Bundle dyeing begins by gathering seasonal flowers and leaves, often respectfully collected from temples after daily offerings. These are carefully arranged across the Mulberry Silk, which is then rolled into tight bundles.
When steamed, the botanicals release their natural pigments into the silk, creating unique patterns and tones. No two pieces are identical, as nature decides the final outcome. The process honours sustainability, using only fallen or discarded flora, keeping the creation mindful from start to finish.

Mulberry Silk Care

This stole is delicate and deserves gentle handling. Choose mild dry cleaning to preserve the purity of the fabric and the natural floral prints. Keep it away from strong sunlight to prevent fading. Avoid harsh detergents.
Use a low silk setting while ironing, or protect the fabric with an extra layer of cloth. Store in a cool, dry place wrapped in muslin. Avoid plastic bags, moisture and perfumes as they may affect the fabric’s tone and texture.

Before You Receive Your Silk Stole

Handloom weaving and natural dyeing may create subtle irregularities and soft tonal variations. These are natural marks of handcrafted work and add to its authenticity.
Slight colour differences may occur due to screen settings. While we try to present the closest representation, the actual shade may look a little different when seen in person.
