**Product Description**

As serene ivory blends into rich brown, this ombré Pashmina shawl transforms simplicity into wearable art that bridges tradition and modern style. Handcrafted using time-honoured techniques of spinning Pashmina fibre on a traditional yinder and weaving it on a wooden handloom, each piece is a labour of love taking weeks to complete.
Soft, warm, and lightweight, it’s perfect for cozy days or formal evenings. Whether wrapped over ethnic ensembles or layered with contemporary outfits, this shawl adds a touch of sophistication and quiet elegance to every occasion.

**About the Craft**

Ombre dyeing on Pashmina is a highly skilled art form that relies entirely on manual craftsmanship. Through careful immersion and hand-dipping, artisans achieve the seamless transition between two hues, ensuring a natural, graceful fade without sharp boundaries.
Unlike machine dyeing, this process depends solely on the artisan’s precision, intuition, and experience to maintain perfect harmony between shades. Pashmina’s delicate texture allows the colours to blend effortlessly, making each ombré piece a unique expression of artistry.

The making of a Pashmina shawl begins in Ladakh, where the fine down fibre of the Changthangi goat is gathered, cleaned, and hand spun by women artisans. It takes almost two months of patient spinning to produce enough yarn for one shawl. The weaving is then carried out on handlooms by skilled craftsmen, followed by finishing touches such as hand-dyeing, embroidery, or printing. Every stage reflects centuries of inherited skill and devotion to the craft.

**Pashmina Care**

Always dry clean your pure Pashmina for the safest care. If hand washing, use cold water and Pashmina or Cashmere shampoo. Avoid wringing or twisting; gently press out excess water. Lay it flat between two towels, roll to absorb moisture, and air dry away from direct sunlight.
For long-term care, store your Pashmina folded in a muslin cloth with neem or cedar wood to protect it from moths. When handled with care, a Pashmina can be treasured for generations.

**Before You Receive Your Pashmina**

Every Pashmsutra shawl is crafted entirely by hand. Minor variations in weave or colour are signs of authenticity, not imperfections, and highlight the artisan’s touch.
Subtle colour differences may occur due to screen settings. While every effort is made to present the shade accurately, the actual tone may appear slightly different in person.
